Welcome! I’m Anne.

After decades in corporate America, I am now a full-time blogger. My husband Pedro and I are edging towards an empty nest in the San Francisco Bay Area. We have one teen off to college and the other not too far behind. At least Olive (our dog) will still hang with us!

You can rest assured, any empty nest travels we will do will be carry-on only.

I wasn’t always obsessed with packing lite. I have lugged enormous canvas duffel bags through the streets of Paris and have had lost luggage more times than I want to count.

Now, I would rather pack as efficiently (and stylishly) as possible. I prefer to have more time to spend exploring new places than finding a store to buy new essentials that got lost with my luggage. (yes, I have learned the hard way…)

Whether it’s a three-week summer trip to Portugal or a long winter weekend in Tahoe, I aim to pack as efficiently as possible for the trip.
